Chanisavail

Hi, 
    I see that the application Chanisavail() may soon be
deprecated. I'm just wondering what the dialplan
replacement would be for checking if a channel is available.
Would you just attempt to place a call then match the
$ variable if the call fails? Or is there
something else I'm missing?

Where did you see that? I am not aware of any discussions
about deprecating that application.
