Hi Jazzy,

Why don't you help yourself and post configs, versions,
changes that you
made to the system, copies of error and logs etc. and
someone might help
you. However I am of the opinion that you don't really want
assistance
you simply are having fun screwing with everybody else.

Next point the application can't really die without any
errors at all.
There has to be some indication of what took place, so I go
back to my
original statement that you are just screwing with mine and
everybody
else' time.

Anybody please help ....

You have got to be kidding me ... You have now started 4
threads asking for
help on the same thing. You have received many suggestions
for things to check
for, and you have not responded to most of them.

This is not intended to be a technical support forum.
Please try the
asterisk-users mailing list to get help. If you are able to
determine a problem
*with an up to date version*, then you can file a bug on
bugs.digium.com. We
don't handle bug reports through this mailing list so that
the information stays
organized and doesn't get lost.

That is completely untrue. I've been a Linux user for over
10 years, and an
Asterisk user and tinkerer for the last 3 or 4. I can
assure you, Asterisk
can and does explode from time to time with absolutely NO
error. Nothing in
the logs, nothing onscreen, NOTHING. It's not a common
thing, but it can and
does happen. Narrowing down which module is causing it is
generally
straightforward, but in the end core dumps or nasty-ass
straceing of a
heavily threaded app are the only ways you can resolve it.

Perfect example: chan_mobile dies without so much as a hint
of a reason if
sdpd isn't running. This has been resolved, but it took the
examination of a
core dump to discover what was going on. If I remember
correctly even
verbose mode didn't help.

  Hi,
;How, do u know it dies, check whether is it still in memory.Ok first do one thing delete all files that asterisk
; creates while installation.ok tell me one thing when u start your o.s is asterisk alrady started or u give asterisk -c to start it. if it is already started then delete the script that starts it.ofcourse the next time u boot u have to start ;asterisk manually.then do a fresh compilation and try again.First check where is the asterisk binary situated i mean in which directory, then start ur asterisk manually asterisk -c. If there is an erreo and it stops then there must be core dump in the directory where the asterisk bin was present. Then use gdb to understand the state of process when the error occured.

Hi, Jazzy u can also do another thing since u are getting error messages in chan_zap.c.There must be some problem with your c file replace that file with a new copy.and tell me which operating system u are using so that u may have to change the paths in your Makefile in line

LIBS+=-lpthread -lcrypto -lm -L/usr/local/lib -L/usr/pkg/lib -lncurses
check whether all library files are in path or not.
