Anybody experience problems with MeetMe conferences drifting over time? ; I've tried conferences with only two users using both IAX and SIP channels and after about 30 minutes there is over a 1 second delay between when someone speaks and when the receiver hears it... ; I'm using ztdummy for the timing source.

$ uname -a
FreeBSD netmiproxy2.network 6.2-RELEASE-p4 FreeBSD 6.2-RELEASE-p4 #0: Mon Apr 30 12:12:12 EDT 2007   ;  rootnetmiproxy2.network:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/CUSTOM  i386
$ pkg_info | egrep '(zap|asterisk)'
asterisk-1.4.3      An Open Source PBX and telephony toolkit
zaptel-1.4.1    ;    A FreeBSD Driver for FXO, FXS, BRI and PRI Telephony Cards

I've installed Trixbox on the same hardware and I do not get this delay but I would much rather use FreeBSD.

you need to rebuild your kernel with

option	HZ=1000

I think that is the default in FreeBSD nowadays:

$ sysctl kern.clockrate kern.timecounter.hardware
kern.clockrate: { hz = 1000, tick = 1000, profhz = 666, stathz = 133 }
kern.timecounter.hardware : ACPI-fast

Does anybody have success with 6.2-RELEASE and meetme ?

I'm having some drift problems as well. Do you have any new
information regarding this?

Thanks in advance,

No but I'm still interested in solving the problem. Right
now we are
using ubuntu-server for this without issue.

do you have zaptel installed?
if so cd /usr/local/etc/rc.d
edit the zaptel file
and on the monload and unload lines do this

end of modload before the " put a space and ztdummy.ko
and then at the
beginning of the next line after the " put ztdummy.ko

this will load ztdummy for timing

I hear you...

It's confirmed to be loaded. The problem is that when the
box has any
other load to deal with, my zttest accuracy goes down
considerably
(low power machine, effects are exaggerated).

you might want to also look at app conference. I have 1.11.
it does not
require timing.

I'm having the same issue and checked that my clock is at
the FreeBSD
defaults, but I have a TDM04B card installed. Would I still
need the
ztdummy?
