Hang on a minute.

The FreeBSD port is now at 1.2.7.1, which _is_ the latest
version of 
"production" asterisk available.

[and if you _must_ run bleeding edge subversion, there's a
port for that 
too...]

Have you tried updating your ports tree any time recently?
