If you want a high quality phone, with *almost* the cheap
price of the
BudgeTone phones, I recommend the Linksys/Cisco/Sipura
SPA-941. This is,
(IMESHO) a very good flexibly-configurable business phone,
up to four lines,
(or a cheaper two line version, with four "line
appearances"). My only
complaint is that it has a light mass, and the rubber feet
don't "grab" as
well as they should on some desks.

I am not aware of any phones that use IAX to communicate
with the * server,
as IAX is "Inter-Asterisk eXchange" protocol,
and is not meant for use with
phone client (sip peers). I can verify that the SPA-941
works well with my
* installation running on FreeBSD.

I'll conccur with Graham - I've got ~20 of the BudgetTone
101's deployed in
my office - as cheap, simple VoIP phones they work great. I
can't even say
I have the need to reboot them (or else my users haven't
told me about
anything). Steve

I don't know of any IAX hard phones. You can have a look at
http:/
/www.voip-info.org/wiki/view/VOIP+Phones for a fairly
comprehensive
list.

I have a Grandstream BudgeTone 101. The only problem I have
with it is that
it needs to be reset occasionally for some unknown reason.
Other than that I
like it. It's certainly one of the cheapest.
