Possibly. But technically even entry collections store their
content 
externally. If you look at section 9 of the APP spec
(Listing Collections) 
they sneak in a note saying that an atom:entry in an entry
collection is not 
guaranteed to be a full representation of the data either. A
client is 
expected to download the full entry from the
"edit" link before making any 
attempt to update it.
