Another question

Hi Lauren -

I don't fully understand what David means when he say he
cannot see the time
shift tool, but I'd like to strongly suggest you not get
involved with using
any plug-in to accomplish this.  The time shift tool is
EXACTLY what you
want, and it is easy to use and works well.  The time shift
tool is well
documented in the Audacity help and FAQ areas, and is the
second item on the
tool palette, and looks like a small double-headed arrow. 
Click on that
arrow first, and then simply highlight the selection of
sound involved, zoom
in our out to an appropriate level, and then drag the entire
selection left
or right to place it where you want it in time.  Once
you've dragged the
selection where you want it, click on the first box (cursor)
in the tool
palette to switch back to normal mode.
