Is your C:<etc > drive full or fragmented? check the
disk properties.
Is the directory write protected? Try and create a dummy
file in the
dir using File Manager.
Is there a file of the same name in the dir?
Is it write protected?

I'm not a Windows expert as I use linux exclusively. Anyone
else have
ideas?

Lintos,

I had individual tracks for each song.
Not a single track with splits.
File: Export Multiple/Wav
The menu item was not greyed out
The error message was: "Cannot export audio to C: etc.
(A file folder
that I have been using for a couple of years to 'export
multiple,'
although
I use different files for different artists.
Windows
XP Home, same as with all other versions of Audacity

The net result is that I have to 'export selection as wav'
individually
and re-type the title each time.

Thank you,

John

Lintos,

The drive is not full.
The directory is not write pritected, I can export
individual files.
The file name is the same as when I export single
selections.

Thanks,

John
