line in??

If you are using the Windows mixer then open it and from the
Options menu select the Properties item.  A dialog box
appears
with (by default) the Playback options.  In the list you
will see
various options - make sure the Line In item has a check
against
it - if it does not then click on it to select it and press
the OK
button.

If you need to activate line in for record follow the same
process but
when the dialog is opened select the Recording radio button
and
select Line In the same way as outlined for Playback.  When
done
click OK.

Most mixers for specfic sound cards follow a simliar
procedure if you
are not using the Windows mixer.

hi, 

1) are you sure your computer actually has a line-in jack?
mine doesn't, for
example (a laptop with a built-in soundcard)

2) if yes, and you're using windows, run the volume
application ('sndvol32')
and look in the advanced properties.

3) if you're using linux, 'rexima' has always done the
trick for me.

4) if mac ...

In SAFEWAY, many kinds of corn flakes about one hundred have
