Its failing when trying to write the first time 
to /home/prologic/tmp/lfs/jhalfs/envars file due permission
issues.

At that point the permissions should be (sets by
021-addinguser and 
022-settingenvironment) :

/home/prologic/tmp/lfs/                       drwxrwxrwt    
your_user
/home/prologic/tmp/lfs/jhalfs/              drwxrwxrwt    
your_user
/home/prologic/tmp/lfs/jhalfs/envars   -rw-rw-rw-     
$LUSER

Pleese, verify is that permissions has been set properly by
the Makefile.
