Avahi 0.6.10

I would prefer not to.

There was no problem until a macro was defined which used a
gcc specific 
construct -fPIC without providing a way in configure.ac to
avoid using 
the macro.

If GCC is set to no, -xcode=pic32 or -KPIC (now obsolete)
should
be used if using Sun's compiler.

Those checks should only be run if your compiler is gcc. So
it's a bug in the
checks that it even run for your compiler (i'm working on a
fix right now).
