Becoming a BS7799 Auditor

Hi All ,

I have been very interested in becoming a BS7799 Auditor.

Any guidance on how to acquire the certificate.

Any pointeres would be highly appreciated.

Hi Dev

There are different institutes but you could follow a ISO
27001 training but
than you have to a few years of auditing experiance to
become certified.

Hi Dev,

If you are planning to become a BS7799 Lead Auditor for
certifying a company
then you need to have least 5 year IT and audit experiences,
also you should
be an ISO 9000-2000 certified auditor then only you can
qualify for BS7799
Lead Auditor.


If you just want to understand and do internal audit for
your company or to
drive your company towards BS7799 you can attend the BS7799
or ISO27001
course which is 5 day training and last day you will have a
written exam.

BS7799 or ISO27001 course is conducted by BSI, BVQI, and
KPMG.

You do not need to be an ISO 9000 Auditor to become ISO
27001 Laed Auditor.
