1 Update on BSDA
In addition to the conferences mentioned in the January
newsletter, we
are working out the details to have the BSDA available at
Linuxtag in
Berlin and Conisli in Brazil. Details on all of the
venues will be
announced as soon as they are finalized.
2 SCALE
Dru Lavigne of the BSDCG recently returned from
the Southern
California Linux Expo where there was both a FreeBSD
and a NetBSD
booth. Over 1000 attendees visited the booths and many were
interested
in hearing more about BSD Certification and the
upcoming BSDA. An
interview was given regarding the upcoming BSDA testing
engine and the
URL will be announced once the interview has been
published.
3 First BSDCG Board of Directors
In January, the slate for the first Board of Directors was
voted upon
and unanimously approved. The Board of Directors and their
terms are:
* Dru Lavigne 2 year term
* Jim Brown 2 year term
* Jeremy C. Reed 1 year term
The Board's first meeting will be held in February to
review the
existing bylaws in regards to the voting process and to
confirm if the
acting officers wish to continue in their capacity. The
Board wishes
to thank Warner Losh for acting as the non-voting
chair of the
nominating committee.
4 BSDA Study Guide Book in Progress
