The North Bay Ruby Users Group is alive and well. I took it over when the original organizers bailed. It is small, but well liked. We meet the third Thursday of every month, and met in July and in August.

Executive Summary
Out of six Bay Area Ruby groups, only one appears to be active. As the maintainer of the "SF Bay Area Scripting Groups" page

I'm curious whether this is due to Summer vacations or something
more fundamental.
