Thanks Alexander, that worked.
The only dependencies with the patched evince are
gnome-doc-utils
(couldn't find a way to by-pass it) and libglade-2.6.0.
About gnome-doc-utils.
Even it can be built without Python (as per book
instructions), it doesn't
build any 'utils' and doesn't install any *.pc files, so the
evince
initial configuration will fail.
Am I missing something? I never builded gnome, except once
or two, just
for the challenge but I never used it.
Otherwise it looks great.
It's the first time I am using evince actually, and while
I've had problem
to open large pdf's with epdfview, evince can handle the
same files much
better.
Oh wait.
I just noticed that there isn't any print support, so there
is a
missing functionality if you build it with --disable-gnome.
Again. Am I missing something?
