The Calm Before The Storm

So next week the conference begins. As we have pretty much
everything
organised now, and we won't be able to arrange a technical
meeting this
week, the organisers have decided to just have a bit of a
relaxing
evening. As such we'll be meeting up at The White Horse in
Harborne for
a pre-meal drink, and then move on to The Bangla Lounge
restaurant once
everyone is assembled. We will probably adjorn to another
pub afterwards
too, if there are enough of us.

DIRECTIONS FROM CITY CENTRE:

Out of the city, drive along Broad Street, under the
underpass and onto
Hagley Road (A456). Head along Hagley Road until you reach
the
crossroads at Norfolk Cross. Turn left onto Norfolk Road
(B4129,
signposted Queen Elizabeth Hospital) and continue until you
reach the
traffic lights. At the traffic lights turn right onto the
High Street
(B4124, signposted Harborne). York Street is on your left,
roughly
opposite WHSmith.

The routes 22, 23, 29 and 103 buses pick up by the ICC on
Broad Street,
and will take you directly to Harborne High Street. All 4
routes run
every 12 minutes, then every 30 minutes in the evening. For
those
wishing connections around the city, the 11A and 11C (The
Outer Circle)
pick up at the top of Harborne High Street and run every 6
minutes, then
every 20 minutes in the evening.

I will try to make it there although I cannot be sure.  Work
is pretty
chaotic at the moment.  I will drive up from the South.

Sorry Chris and I can't make it again i'm afraid. Were off
to Leeds for the
Fest first thing tomorrow morning and were finishing the
packing tonight and
saving our pennies as were gonna need all the beer tokens we
can get for
this weekend.
