Feeds on Blogger are now sorted by default by their updated
status, so yes if
you update a post in any way (including adding a label) it
will jump to the
top of the feed. That is by design. If you don't like that,
you can sort them
by published date by using the feed with the orderby
parameter /feeds/posts/

I suppose classic template tags don't work with the new
layouts. Isn't there a
way to use html tags with a layout? I'm not a
blog*spot-hosted user, so I
don't know, but I believe I heard something about using html
with layouts.
Maybe using the blogger title tag can be used via a html
workaround in layouts.

I doubt Blogger will turn it off. But I do recommend the
following be done
right after a clearing of cookies and the cache... You need
to make sure you
have the language set in all three locations for it to stick
and if you delete
cookies it will revert and you'll have to do the settings

adding a URL to post & add page element troubles - 1

You have to use the Embed url, not the HTML url. Blogger
does not accept HTML.
