Your stylesheet should define the body properties a bit like

for the colour. You need to
change the line for the background to this: background:

Hello DivaDiana77 Can I just confirm if you want to make the
main posts
section wider? If so, you will need to increase the width of
your "outer-
wrapper" the "main-wrap1" and the
"body#layout #outer-wrapper" by the same
amount in order for this to work. For example, if you want
the main posts

You can't really define span tags in the css of your blog
template. Instead,
you would have to add this to the layout of your blog
template, or define the
background using hex values in your style section. Assuming
you want the whole
of the page title to have a yellow background, you can
define it like this: -

telling me it is not formatted right and won't be saved. Can
