How to Post a Link

Hello everyone.  I am a relatively old guy who is very bad
at using
computers.  I have a question that is so simple but I'm
afraid that no
one will understand it.

I have started a blog and I want to add links to it but I
don't know
how to do it.  My blog is in the new "beta
format".  I know nothing
about Internet markup languages and did not want to know
anything
about them.  All I want to do is find the command that will
allow me
to cut and paste the address of a web site to create a
button that a
visitor can press to go to that web site.

It has been a while since I created my blog, and I cannot
remember
what the steps were at that time, if there was an option
offered to be
able to create links.

Please try to imagine how inept I am and how little I know
how little
I want to know.  I just want to create a simple link to my
blog, but I
do not know how to do it.
