rank? |

I can't improve my page rank because of blogger html code
that is
automatically generated by blogger. is anyone else having
this
problem?
I am registered with http://www.google.com
/webmaster, and http://www.blogger.com.
in "webmaster", I am told that my links on my blog
are not
recognized. so, therefore they are not used in determining
my page
rank.
according to one of the google tech support guys, the reason
why my
links are not recognized is because there is invalid html
code on my
blog which is preventing my blog from being completely
parsed when
crawled by google.
the google tech support guys told me to use the checking
utility on
http://validator.w3.org
to validate the code on my blog.
..sure enough, when I use the checking utility on http://validator.w3.org,
I get all sorts of errors appearing.
bottom line, I don't write the html code for my blog - http://siam-info.blogs
pot.com.
it is automatically generated by the built-in publishing
utility
existing in www.blogger.com.
what to do?

I'm no expert but I do currently have a page rank of 4 of
10, I would
say that the code generated by your blog is not your
problem, or it is
not as important as other factors. You need to have links
on other
peoples sites that are related to your site that link to
your blog.
Find some other sites that are related, post some comments
and use
your blog address in your signature. One way links from
pages with a
decent page rank are best, reciprical links are good too.
Forums that
relate to your subject matter are good too. If you have the
time to
publish articles about your area of expertise then you can
put a link
in your resource box and it may be picked up by webmasters
that are
looking for content. These are just a few ways to do it.
I'm not
that great at html, and the meta tags are something I need
help with
on blogger but just don't have the time to do since I teach
full time.

I agree with worldtour. Your best bet for gaining page rank
is to get
more incoming links for highly ranked sites and sites that
deal with
the same material as your own.
And I have heard that you need to beware of actually getting
bad links
in from bad sites that may drag your ranking down.
Thanks
Jim

I just viewed your source html code. it appears you are not
using the
default widgets built into blogger. therefore, my guess is
you are
not aware of the problems I am having. but thanks just the
same for
your suggestions.

I looked at your source html. you are not using the default
widgets
built in the blogger system. therefore you are not aware of
the
problems I am having. from other advice I have been
getting, it
appears I will have to stop using the built in widget system
of
blogger to get a proper google ranking.
