First Time!!

Hi

I'm curious what do you think makes for a great blog? Is it
tale, the
links or something else?

PS I'm about to start my first blog and have
blogaphobia...if there is
such a thing. I've never written a journal and think it will
be
interesting to see how it can work for me.

Blogs are of all kinds, It depends on your interest. If you
write
something you are passionate about or have great knowledge
about, it
is more likely to attract visitors interest. Some people
write
political blogs which can be controversial and can attract a
lot of
interest. Suprisingly, some personal blogs also seem to
attract a lot
of attraction.

I always take the learning to swim approach and just jump
in.



Just start writing something, anything.  If you do not like
it, you
can always delete it.

After you have some experience, if you do not like the blog
itself,
you can delete that too and create a new one that better
suits your
needs once you have more experience.

There really isn't any obligation, which makes it completely
safe to
practice.

In fact its probably good to practice a little bit, so that
you can
get used to the results that you get.  I originally started
blogging
so that I could get more practice with web design.  So I
used my
earliest blogs as guinea pigs for my own testing.  I deleted
the tests
when I was done, but learned a lot!

According to me, a good blog is made of personal events plus
what's in
the news & pix or images that strikes you.
As regards links and layout, I chose to put in mt blog all
the things
I like the most, so I chose a firehouse as a template,
insert an iPod
that plays some of my fav songs and some utilities (for
instance, the
link to a site where you can check the speed of your
interner
connection).

I think youv'e just got to post about anything and
everything. I was
unsure where to start with my blog (www.badboyhouse.co.uk)
