Akismet kills all comments

I was experiencing tons of comment spam so I enabled Akismet
a while  
ago. I realized that since I activated it, not a single
legitimate  
comment was accepted.

In the tomcat log file I see this message every time this
happens:

Jul 07 13:42:05 INFO  [TP-Processor22] comment.CommentPlugin
-  
Comment meta-data contained destroy key. Comment was not
saved




did I mis-configure something?

Do you have the following property set to true in your
blog.properties?

 akismet-plugin-delete-spam

It defaults to false, so unless you've got that set to
true, maybe another
plugin is setting the comment metadata flag to delete?

In the logs, do you see any information from another plugin
like the math
comment or Scode plugin indicating anything? I'd remove
those other plugins
from the chain when using Akismet.
