Plans to cross-post in categories?

I realize this may be more difficult than it should be, as
the categories
are physical directories in the filesystem.

However, it would be very handy to be able to post entries
to multiple
categories.

For example, if I have a Java category, and under that, I
have a
"Jdeveloper" category and a "Jboss"
category.

/
/Java
/Java/Jdeveloper
/Java/JBoss

Now, under most circumstances, I would create a post that
falls to each
category.  However, what if I create a post about using
Jdeveloper WITH
Jboss?  Then, I would want to create that post and associate
it with both
categories.

I do see a plugin about the "Associated
Categories", but the details are
sketchy, and I'm not sure how to do it using the
MetaBlogger API (i.e.
Ecto).

Any feedback?
