I finally found what the problem was that turned up after I
rebooted
my Mac. Tomcat was
NOT loading. I checked the PID list and there was, what
appeared to
be, a process
for Tomcat. However, after further checking, the process did
not
disappear from the PID
listing after I shut Tomcat down.
The problem was that I was using the wrong script to
start/stop
Tomcat. The script I had been
using is described here:
http://developer.apple.com/internet/java/tomcat1.html
On this page there is are start and stop scripts designed
for the Mac
and OSX. After I
rebooted I had used the default scripts that came with the
Tomcat
installation -- hence the problem. Once I used the Mac
scripts,
Tomcat started and so did Blojsom.
For Mac/OSX users, I strongly represent following the
instructions on
this page. They
work perfectly though they have to be adjusted to the
specific
version of Tomcat that
has been installed.
