I have not used the Post Mailer plugin, but you could look at that plugin as the base for your plugin. It might be more relevant than the Send Email plugin. The source is available with the download, I believe.
The Send Email plugin (part of blojsom core plugins), could also be used as the base for your plugin, but might not be as code relevant as the Post Mailer plugin.

So don’t the two send email notice plug-ins don’t do that? Are either of them open source so we could use them as a start or contribute the update back?

For notices:
In blojsom 2, you could write a plugin that implemented the BlojsomListener interface and listened for the AddBlogEntryEvent in its handleEvent method.
In blojsom 3, you could write a plugin that implemented the Listener interface and listened for the EntryAddedEvent in its handleEvent method.

Yes I tried that and it didn’;t seem to matter. I will keep trying and ensure it is such.
What is needed to make the moblog send notices?

Michael-
There are no notices sent by the moblog plugin when entries are posted.
Have you tried the following for the subject:
secretWord [/Blog+Test] some subject text

we are using the moblog and see no notices being sent, but the RSS does show the new entries.
The entries also do not show who posted and to what category like those posted from the admin flavor.
Questions:
- we configured secret word and tried Subject: "secretWord [/Blog Test] some subject text" and the category "/Blog Test" does exist, but the incoming email posts to the default path, not to "/Blog Test", what are we doing wrong.
- I see there are a couple of smtp notification plugins so does one work better with moblog than the other?
