If there are aspects of blojsom installation that are difficult, the installation instructions are easily modified to clarify or add new steps.
Perhaps you can add installation page a la WordPress. After unpacking the war file, tell the user to go to http://<host+path>/install.jsp
And have some forms where users can fill in database details and click some buttons to init the schema. It gives the impression that WordPress is easier to install.
In our case, perhaps a restart is required after database init.
Btw, is it possible to have Hibernate sets up the schema upon webapp startup?
Cheers, Cliff.

It is that way in blojsom 3. After you fill in your database details by editing the configuration file and you start the web application, blojsom will detect there isn’t a database setup and then create it for you and populate it with initial data.
But sure, I’ll look at adding an install “wizard” down the road.
