Wow, very helpful, thanks for the code!

It works perfectly, with this plugin the math comment
moderation  
plugin works great and I finally have blog comments enabled
again 
 
I'll see how soon the spammers work around this...

The blojsom plugin/chain architecture is fantastic. I
didn't realize  
it's so easy to write a plugin that provides variables for
Velocity.

Glad to hear it's working for you.

Yes, it's quite easy to write a plugin that can push
information into the
context that Velocity can use. It's basically what all the
plugins do, fetch
data to be used in the template.
