Hi,
We want to make changes to allow new users to use Blojsom
even when
they do not have user accounts on the Blojsom/Tiger server.
Currently,
we can authorize from a remote LDAP database on Solaris, if
the user
is authenticated by the Apple OS. But can the Blojsom
application
itself do both authentication and authorization of new users
via the
remote LDAP/Solaris server? Or must all Blojsom users have
an account
on the Apple operating system too?
That is, if a username/password entity exists on the LDAP
server, can
Blojsom be configured to simultaneously authenticate and
authorize
that user to create their own blog and/or podcast, even
though they do
not have a local account on the Apple server operating
system?
If the answer to that is "yes", can you point me
to the relevant
documentation. I have not been able to determine if this is
possible
and I have become confused. Again.
Thank you.
