FYI -
For the longest time, my Blojsom used to crash almost on a
daily basis.
Analysis showed that I was getting disk quota exceptions but
when
looking at the quota itself, it was more than OK. It was
weird. Due to
these errors when people left comments, the comments didn't
make it
(since couldn't be written)... Readers complained/were upset
because
after written a lengthly comment, the comment went puff...
People
stopped leaving comments. Note that I even added a cron job
to restart
the web app every night at midnight.
Anyways, the problem was addressed by turning off debug
logging... the
default setting for the installation was full logging. Since
I turned
extra logging off, my website has not crashed, and people
can now leave
comments!
If you are experiencing crashes, etc, you might want to try
turning off
extra logging:
In log4j.properties:
# Set root logger level to DEBUG and its only appender to
stdout
log4j.rootLogger=DEBUG, stdout
David, by default, the installation should have debug
logging turned off.
