Hello Shalini, thanks for the speedy reply. I am more
perplexed now than for a few days ago. The Properties table
only has four entries for the different URLs it uses. The
URLs are definitely displaying the correct port: 8180 and
the correct relative paths. I do not see where else to look
except on disk in some other files: (dot).java?, JSP? a
particular directory? I have investigated:
./tmp/deploy/tmp####blojsom-exp.war/WEB-INF and under the
JBoss server directory I have drilled down into all of the
directories: conf, work, data, lib, tmp, deploy and log
without any hint as to how to proceed. The only log worth
mentioning is posted below. Admin login consistently
redirects to: 8080 instead of 8180. I do not know why.
Please advise, David.

Hi david,
The log that you have pasted need not be an error. Tell me, did this
part of the log figure when you explicitly tried to log in to the admin
area?
//--------------Ignore the following sentence if it confuses you
--------------------------------------------------
Asking you this incase you have a login form on the default (or any
other blog) page i.e. in the velocity template and in the very first
load, the page loads without a username and password.
//--------------------------------------------------------------
Please paste your 4 URLs from the database table and the URLs that show
up in the browser when you move the mouse over the link.. and whatever
other URL related stuff you think necessary....
This keeping the database same business is rather tricky to me atleast

Also, check the datasource bean entry in the
blojsom-helper-beans-include.xml for any small mistakes... (following
<bean id="dataSource"
class="org.apache.commons.dbcp.BasicDataSource"
destroy-method="close">
<property name="driverClassName"
value="com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"/>
<property name="url"
value="jdbc:mysql://localhost/blojsom?autoReconnect=true&useUnicode=true&characterEncoding=utf-8"/>
<property name="username" value=""/>
<property name="password" value=""/>
</bean>
Do you have the required .jar in place within JBOSS?
~Shalini
