We have recently installed blojsom with Websphere and
Oracle. I think that there may be some issues concerning Webshere transactions
with BlojsomXMLRPCServlet and CommentAPIServlet, because these servlets threw
« RolledBack » exceptions when used with a Websphere Data Source. We
don217;t need them for now so I commented them out in the web.xml file. BlojsomServlet doesn̵7;t seem to have this
problem, and all the basic functions of the blog work so far.

I used WebSphere and didn't have a problem, so I don't see why you
would have a problem.
Installing the war should be straight forward as installing any other J2EE app.
As far as the database you will probably need to modify some of the sql scripts
found in the jar to create the database and the tables, but most likely they
will run as is.
The sql scripts can be found in /blojsom.war/WEB-INF/classes*.sql
Good luck and let us know if you need more help.

I have the following environment: Oracle 10g, Weblogics 8.1,
Sun Java Web Server (using the webserver only on a front-end), Solaris 10 .
I noticed that there weren't any install instructions for
this type of configuration, do I have a chance at success? I'll do the
reading and come back with better questions, if I can get some pointers in the
right direction.

I first set
this up locally, with Tomcat + MySQL on windows. The installation doc was easy
to follow.
Now I need to
use this on a server that is running RH Linux 4, Weblogic 10 + Oracle 10g.
Has anyone
tried this yet? Is there any installation documentation available? (I haven̵7;t
found any)
Also how do I get
the “Current
release: blojsom 3.2”?
Any help is appreciated!
