PS Don't get me wrong, I have used Velociity for simple templating such as email messages, and it is excellent for such a purpose.  But to generate Web pages with Velocity when you have JSP, JSTL, JSF etc etc seems to be a very painful way of getting the job done!

Hi, does anyone know where I could get my hands on a nice shiny set of JSP templates for Blojsom?  We are going to be using Blojsom for the foreseable future, and I really don't feel like struggling with Velocity any more.

Thanks !

I don't think there's any JSP template for Blojsom 3 available from the releases.

Blojsom9;s ability to support JSP, Velocity, Freemarker, etc is cool, but in reality (considering the size of our community at the moment) it's better to concentrate on one and at the moment Velocity is the one. I'm yet to see anyone who put some effort in making a theme with Velocity, JSP, and Freemarker based templates.

Just a suggestion:

Rather than pursuing the JSP template approach, I'd suggest you still use Velocity template, and create your own simple plugin that puts some tool classes that you need to Velocity Context (check out ArrayToolPlugin in Blojsom 3 add-on). These tool classes can then have the extra logic that you need that is not available from Velocity.

It's not impossible to take the JSP path, it's just that you might end up having to port the functionalities that are implemented in Blojsom as Velocity template or macros, to their JSP equivalence.

Excellent point... how big *is* our community of Blojsom users/developers?
