Dave,
I'm pretty new to blogging in general
and blojsom in particular, but have been playing with the Weather plug-in
in my test blog. I was seeing the same symptoms you described and, after
adding debug code, I found that the plug-in is retrieving the weather
info, but after the page has been displayed to the user. Once I
cleared the cache and re-displayed the page I began see the weather info.
Hope this helps,
Randy

Dan, I added the lines you provided,
but no improvement.
My page showed: At it is
(just the literals with no values).
Current test code looks like this.
And, I tried with and with the "!" as I wasn't sure it
should or shouldn't be there.
Dave
<div id="weather2">
<h5>Weather2</h5>
At $BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION.getLocation()
it is $BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION.getFahrenheit().
</div>
<div id="weather">
<h4>$!BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION</h4>
<h4> Just
a blank line. Okay, not so blank </h4>
<h4>#DisplayWeatherForecast($BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION)</h4>
</div>

Oy, I had similar problems.
I found that (for whatever reason) the full blown (no pun intended) information
was not properly populated. So I created a custom page as follows.
<div id="weather">
<h5>Weather</h5>
At $!BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION.getLocation() it is $!BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION.getFahrenheit().
</div>
When I did that... I got (mostly) the location and the temp. That is all
I cared about anyway. Give this a go and see if it works for you.
thanks,
Dan

Cliffano,
I wasn't sure how to display,
(as you requested). I placed this code in my asual-column.vm file
to try.
<div id="weather">
<h4>$BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION</h4>
<h4> Just
a blank line. Okay, not so blank </h4>
<h4>#DisplayWeatherForecast($BLOJSOM_WEATHER_INFORMATION)</h4>
</div>
After deploying, my page definitely
shows my attempt, but fails to show any values.
Question? How do I know that the
plug-in is trying or not to even reach the National Weather Service? Any
debug or troubleshooting tips to prove that is occurring. Based, on my
firewall and proxy logs, I don't see my application server reaching out
to the net for the information?

| Thanks for the thought, but clearing cache did not
help. Always willing to try anything that makes sense.
So, I am still uncertain or unclear how to make this
work -- Dave
