Are you behind a proxy? I am and had
to modify the plug-in connect code to handle the proxy.
Just a thought...

Thanks for the thought, but clearing
cache did not help. Always willing to try anything that makes sense.
So, I am still uncertain or unclear
how to make this work -- Dave

Subject: Re: [Blojsom-users] Trying to activate weather andoremoticonsplug-in
Dave,
I'm pretty new to blogging in general and blojsom in particular, but have
been playing with the Weather plug-in in my test blog. I was seeing the
same symptoms you described and, after adding debug code, I
found that the plug-in is retrieving the weather info, but after
the page has been displayed to the user. Once I cleared the cache and re-displayed
the page I began see the weather info.
Hope this helps,
Randy

| A good thought. Yes, I am behind a proxy / firewall /
etc. But, I have validated that my server that runs the Weblogics is cable
of getting outbound on port 80 directly without
interference.
So, "telnet nws.noaa.gov 80" works. I'll
make the leap of faith that says if that works, then the plug-in has the
connectivity it needs.
I stil find myself questioning if I am even trying.
Why? Because when I netstat -an on my Weblogics server, I do not see
any connection attempts????
