del.icio.us daily post and technorati tags plugins.

hi all,


here's a thought... is it possible to use a custom
del.icio.us daily
posting velocity template in order to use the tags assigned
to any
given item in del.icio.us to populate the technoati-tags
metadata
field in blojsom for that daily posting? It would be cool to
have the
del.icio.us tags from my daily postings also influence the
tag cloud
plugin.

So, you can customize this one of two ways.

1. Go into your blog's templates directory and create the
directory
hierarchy, org/blojsom/plugin/delicious and create a custom
daily-posting-template.vm file.

2. Go in through the web administration console under Weblog
Settings |
Templates and create that directory hierarchy. And then
create that
daily-posting-template.vm file in that directory.

Blojsom's Velocity configuration is setup to search the
filesystem for
templates before the classloader. This is why every blog has
the ability to
customize or override any Velocity template. You could even
override any of
the Velocity templates for the administration console, but
that's a whole
'nother thread unto itself. I digress ...

Now you're left with the task of customizing the template
to output
technorati tag links for each of the del.icio.us tags
you've got.

There's not a way (currently) to populate the meta-data for
that entry with
the tags that might influence the tag cloud plugin. Good
suggestion though.
I'll have to implement that for the delicious daily posting
plugin in
blojsom 3.0.
