trash all the .comments directories in your blojsom blog
directory -
you'll lose all the 'proper' comments too, but it's the
easiest way.

After you've done that, you might want to install teh
comment and
trackback moderation, and akismet moderation plugins - full

As far as removing the bulk comments, you can look under
blog-home directory
and wipe out the .comments directories.

To combat this in the future.

1. Look at adding comment throttling and possibly
auto-expiration (turn off
comments after a certain # of days).

2. The moderation plugins such as the math question or
captcha or Akismet
would also serve you well.

3. There's also blojsom 3.0. Working on import
functionality and then
migration functionality.

One of the new pieces of functionality is bulk response
approval/deletion as
shown hm'yah.

The default template also doesn't show unapproved
responses.
