Moblog post without author name or submission date?

Hi there,

I am really getting into Blojsom and like it very much.

I tried submitting a blog by email with Moblog, and it gets posted beautifully.
Only hitch I experience is that author and post date are not shown, i.e. something like

"Posted by Wolfgang at 1:48 PM in /"

is not there.

I know that email doesn't send credentials but maybe could use sender email to look up the poster account.

I might just be doing something wrong. Ideas?

The reason the template doesn̵7;t output the information like that is because there̵7;s no “author” when you’re posting via Moblog. There̵7;s an e-mail address and maybe that could be tied to a user so that you could get the author, but that’;s for another iteration of the moblog plugin and something I’d do for blojsom 3.

The latest default entry template in blojsom 3 uses:

&nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;<div class=&quot;info";>
&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp;#if($entry.getAuthor())Posted by <span class=&quot;author&quot;>$entry.getAuthor()</span> at #else Posted at #end $entry.getDateAsFormat("h:mm a") in <a href=";#BlogURL()$entry.getCategory()&quot; title=&quot;$entry.getCategory()">#CategoryDescription($entry.getBlogCategory())</a>
 &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;   ; </div>

So, for items like, http://www.blojsom.com/blog/david/moblog/2006/05/16/Gelato, it outputs:

Posted at 1:14 PM in Moblog
