Short answer: There isn't any central point.

Define "official".

There is an "official" but neglected and partially malfunctioning
website and version at www.blosxom.com. IIRC someone mentioned on this
list, that there are or at least were efforts to unify all the
different resources, especially to reactivate www.blosxom.com as a
central (and uptodate) information with new maintainers.

To the sourceforge project.

defacto official stable version also at sf project. Development
version? AFAIK currently there is only active development on the
stable version with focus on bugfixes and slight enhancements.

Probably nowadays, it's the unofficial blosxom usergroup.

Well, yes. This just seems to count for the own webspace at SF, not
for the project itself.

Yeah, the project is not only testing.

This is where you currently find an uptodate plugin registry and some
news around the blosxom community.

Don't know that, but since Raeol works (worked?) at O'Reilly it's
probably as outdated as his blosxom.com

IMHO there is none.

v3 development stalled in a very alpha state and is unusable according
to Rael IIRC.

The v2 branch is stable and widely used, so people started optimizing
it. Although the v2 base is quite old there's still a lot of plugin
development, partially implementing new technologies in blogging like
tagging, partially implementing completely new ideas.

There is one at SF. See
https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/blosxom-devel --
According to the web page it has about 20 subscribers.

HTH, although it probably just shows the situation as I see it.

I would consider the sourceforge project is the "official" version at
this point.

Yeah, there's nothing I would call a "development" version at this
point.

My apologizes for the confusion there. There was a plan to migrate
blosxom.com to the sourceforge hosting, and we were testing just to
make sure the web page hosting was properly set up. Then that sort of
stalled and got left like it is.
