Hey thanks! That has helped me out a lot. It seems it
works. I guess
maybe "Gnome ppp" is too stupid to be able to use
rfcomm. Here is the

I think the "RING" happens when someone calls my
phone, interesting.
Gnome ppp still refuses to use the device though. I will
install kppp
and try that as it is the one that worked on my friends
computer. Gnome
ppp reports the following when trying to connect or dial:
