hmm... strange... it should work. the very first device
initialization
command (reset) is failing (timeout).
you could try to comment
$ -n $hci reset
> /dev/null 2>&1 || return 1
in the /etc/rc.d/bluetooth and see if this helps (btw, you
need to
unplug and re-plug the device after that). if this does not
help, then i
would suspect some sort of usb problem.
