What happens if you train multiple times

Hello,
I am using KMail with bogofilter.

I wonder what happens if you train a message multiple times
(with -N -s,
resp. -S -n).
Is it really trained more than one time in this case? Or
does bogofilter
recognize this already trained message and ignores them?

Thanks,

Florian

Hello Florian,

Bogofilter has no way to recognize repeated training.
Being
able to recognize already trained messages would require
knowing what
messages are in the database. Bogofilter has no knowledge
of messages
(as such). It only knows tokens and their ham and spam
counts.

When you repeat training, bogofilter repeatedly updates the
tokens counts, i.e. increasing them for the -n and -s
switches and
decreasing them for -N and -S.

HTH,

David
