Stephane --
Thanks for BookmarkDD ... it has been a very useful add-on,
despite
revealing that I'm trying to replicate early Yahoo!
listings. [I
have
over 6000 bookmarks local on my machine ... argh!]
One issue I have run into ... when the URL is incredibly
long, the buttons
on the "right" side of the pop-up disappear with
no way of getting at them.
Here is the scenario: I save a bunch of pages for later
perusal (in a
"temporary" folder); I do an "open all"
at a later date to sort thru them; I
want to save select pages for use (in a
"permanent" folder), but since these
are duplicates, the pop-up asks "are you sure" on
each one (a tad annoying,
but understandable); when the URL is very long, the
"cancel" and "ok"
buttons get lost on the right, with no way to get to them
(see attachment
"picture 1" vs. "picture 2") ... the
only option you have then (as best as I
can tell) is to use the "move" option and then
recover manually later.
I see three (3) ways to ameliorate this: either keep all
buttons together
on the left side (instead of splitting move from cancel /
ok), and/or
shortening incredibly long URLs (after xxx chars) so that
the popup does not
exceed the window size, and/or adding a scroll bar to the
popup when it
exceeds window width (probably most difficult to implement
and least
"pretty" but, hey, it's an option I s'pose).
Anyhow, again I really appreciate your efforts ...
BookmarkDD was a godsend
for me and I use it *all* the time, and I thank you for it.
I just hope
this little suggestion might help you make it that li'l wee
bit better.
Have a great 2008!
