Hmm, that would mean that the library authors have to
maintain yet 
another file, yes?

In the other case you would need to walk the entire boost
tree to 
generate the installed Jamroot.

Well, "maintain" means adding a new line whenever
new library is added,
but...

...it's also possible to collect the list of libraries at
install time,
given that it's already done -- to implement the
"--with-*" options.
