Boost Compile on Windows with MinGW

All,

I have downloaded the boost library and I'm trying to compile with MinGW (from a DOS prompt). I have been able to build bjam and when I run bjam --toolset=gcc I get a lot of libs that won't build and part of the messaging that I get is : warning: Unable to construct ./install-unversioned . Any help would be really appreciated.
