How to specify the build bin directory

Hi,

Reading through the Boost.Build V2 documentation I am unable
to find how
to specify a location to place the intermediate files that
are created
from compiling and linking an application into a specified
location.

Reading previous messages to the Boost.Build list I believe
that "bjam
--build-dir=location" should do the trick. Other
messages suggest that
this is currently broken.

I am currently using this version of Boost.Build:

Boost.Jam Version 3.1.15. OS=NT.
Copyright 1993-2002 Christopher Seiwald and Perforce
Software, Inc.
   Copyright 2001 David Turner.
   Copyright 2001-2004 David Abrahams.
   Copyright 2002-2005 Rene Rivera.
   Copyright 2003-2005 Vladimir Prus.

Thanks,

Peter.

You can either use 'build-dir' project attribute -- on
permanent basic, or

.. you can use --build-dir=location on the command line,
which use to be
broken in some corner case but is believed to work now.
