Golly, I wasn't expecting *that*.

There are other similar print-on-demands, BookSurge
(www.booksurge.com) is
quite attractive because of its close links with Amazon.

It should be the case that PDFs could be generated and
pretty much used
directly given page setups, but all the self-publishers seem
to support
Distiller only.  But, I don't know if they protect against
that by looking
inside the PDF for a generator signature, or whether they
just do it because
they can document the settings needed.
