Hi there,

I've installed Centos5.1 on build 79a without any issues.
The only problem I've got is that should you run a
"ps" or "top" in the zone, the global
zone panics with the classic:

 "BAD TRAP: type=e (#pf Page fault) rp=d143fdd8
addr=178 occurred in module "lx_proc" due to a
NULL pointer dereference"

and the system reboots. I'm not sure if this is /proc
related in the zone, however the rest of the zone is pretty
stable. Anyone else have/had the same issue?

I've created the tar.bz2 file of Centos5.1 by creating a
VMware installation of Centos and then tar-ing it up for a
zone install. Is that the prefered way to create a tarball
or do you need to do an installaion on bare-metal and not
another VM? (I've excluded boot,sys,proc,dev)

Thanks,
jacksa

Hi there,

Has enyone else seen tihs isue?

And as a side note, can you please describe to me the
procedure you take to create a tarball of whatever Centos
OS?

It seems like a bare-metal or VMware VM does the same
panic/reboot for me.

Cheers,
jacksa
