It seems that Tyler has a loving home and wonderful life
with your
family, Bahra. I would certainly go with the insulin shots
and feel he
will adjust and be well.
I can understand how you are feeling about your daughter's
feelings but
I would think taking the unnecessary step to end his life
would
undoubtedly result in much more sadness and heartache for
your family.
Your story reminds me a lot about my daughter's one dog who
is 14,
totally blind but otherwise a frisky, happy terrier. Many
have
suggested to her, why not just have him put to sleep. To
me, Bahra,
they are just like humans, I just couldn't end their life
because they
are dealing with a handicap or an illness which could be
controlled.
Good luck and God bless,
Joan
