Hear hear helena, I so agree with you. We should all try to take charge
of those things in our lives that we can and dimish the worries over the
things that we cannot. Wisdom is to know the difference and when you
need to get the help of others.

So we are back to prayers "God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can and the wisdom to know the difference."  After we lost our first house in a fire I bought this wall plaque: "Lord help me to remember that nothing is going to happen to me today that You and I together can't handle". Having had one Jewish, one Protestant, one Socialist and one
Communist
grandparent, I wasn't brought up in any kind of religious
tradition.

I believe in looking for the Good in people, in life, and in
sharing the
good energy, white light, healing spirit, whatever you want
to call it,
with those around me.

I cannot save the world from grief, pain, loss, illness or
death. I can
help myself and my loved ones to deal with it when it comes.

Maybe I'm fooling myself, but it sure feels better when I
think I can
make a difference to others. So whether I call it prayer, or
sending
good energy, white light or whatever, doesn't really
matter. And even
if it only makes me feel better about myself, that's a good
thing
too, isn't it?

I definitely felt better when I asked for support and you
gave it to me.
Don't know whether it influenced the outcome, but it really
helped.

Love Jacqueline
