Hi all;
I've been looking into a problem with the bricolage debian
package, in
which the '/etc/init.d/bricolage-cms start' command returns
a false
success status on Ubuntu Dapper (6.06) and later.
The problem is tied to the fact that Ubuntu initialises
/var/run/ as
TMPFS, which means that directories created during a
previous session do
not persist, even if the sticky bit is set.
The work-around that I've devised is to add some logic to
the init
script that checks for the existence of /var/run/bricolage
and creates
it with the proper ownership and permissions if necessary.
